Damn. I don’t know how I missed it. I would have brought twice as many donuts as you got in LA. I hope this market can handle two of your appearances within a year
It sounds to me like he's singing, "you were gonna be like our heroes someday" but this is the second time i've seen it as "be, like, our hero someday" in print so i could be wrong.
A week or two late with this - regarding your piece on memory -holed albums: I listen to WXRT in Chicago, which tends to play 1/3 new stuff, 1/3 stuff from the past ten years, and 1/3 older stuff. In that bubble, many of the memory -holed artists are still in heavy rotation, so to me, the Last Dinner Party and Kings of Leon and St. Vincent and a few more folks you mentioned are played daily. So I guess programmers for legacy media haven't forgotten them!
Meanwhile the guy plays subtly great lead guitar on the Waxahatchee album as a side project. He may have done two top 10 albums of 2024.
This is fantastic and so true. I think we are lucky to be around at the same time as MJ.
Please come to NYC
I was there in May!

Full Indiecast ep dedicated to new album please
Tastes Just Like it Costs is an instant classic live track, absolutely rips.
I like the comparison with John Prince!

Prine, not Prince...
Listened to this for the first time about a week ago and it will get many more listens. Very excited about his new album.
It turns out all that Alt Country needed was more songs about Dan Marino and the 97 NBA finals
“She’s Leaving You” has me psyched for the new album. It’s so good
